Anti-Semitic tags discovered on college walls

A crude phallus but also and above all a swastika, domed in black paint. These offensive tags with anti-Semitic connotations were drawn on the night of Saturday November 11 to Sunday November 12 on the walls of the Ponts-Jumeaux college, in Toulouse. Teams from the Haute-Garonne departmental council, owner of the building, cleaned these inscriptions Monday morning.

Sébastien Vincini, the president of the community decided to file a complaint. “I am deeply shocked and devastated to see the increase in anti-Semitic acts over the past several weeks, which are endangering our Republic,” he responded. These acts are intolerable and unworthy (…) The school of the Republic must remain a place of tolerance, acceptance of others and living together. »

On Sunday, in Toulouse, 1,700 people according to the prefecture gathered on the Place du Capitole to say “No to anti-Semitism”.
