Tweets quickly deleted which did not go unnoticed. Sunday morning, an independent journalist from Grenoble was able to capture one of the comments, signed from the official account of the prefect of Isère, posted under a BFM TV publication devoted to Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
“What is the regulatory airtime for Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who is absolutely nothing other than a retiree from political life. You give this ultra-left and anti-Republican extremist character far too much importance,” we could read. Something to question.
“Inappropriate and unacceptable misappropriation”
The next day, the Isère prefecture published a denial by press release, indicating that his Twitter account had “been the subject of inappropriate and unacceptable misuse”. “An investigation was launched to find the causes,” she adds, apologizing for the “inconvenience”.
Piracy? Malicious act or internal disruption? For the moment, it is still too early to know whether a collaborator with the access codes could have, by mistake, published on the wrong account, confusing it with their own. According to a prefectural source, cited by several media, the passwords of the prefecture account were immediately changed.
