Law student Carla Hinrichs held up pictures of 13 people who had been in preventive detention in Bavaria for 30 days during “Anne Will”. A craftsman is among them, a high school graduate, a mother of two children. “They are locked up with you,” she said to the Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann, “because they are desperate. Because your government” – she meant the Bavarian state government – “makes sure that our lives are no longer safe.”
