With her commitment, RTL has managed a real coup: Anna Ermakova will take part in the new season of “Let’s Dance”, which starts next Friday, February 17th. The commitment of the daughter of tennis star Boris Becker, which emerged from the legendary “broom closet affair”, caused a stir in advance.
The 22-year-old has now commented on the show in the official podcast and answered Martin Tietjen’s questions. The interview with the London-based model was conducted in English. Ermakova speaks rudimentary German and would like to continue working on her language skills. However, she is currently unable to express herself in the way she would like to. In the podcast, the 22-year-old now tells when she found out about this story – and that was very early: her classmates were already talking about it when they were in elementary school. Because they read it somewhere they heard about it from their parents.
Not an easy situation for a young girl: “Children don’t really have to know that,” says the model today. It was hard growing up with the gossip. She felt isolated.
This is probably one of the reasons why she fears that people will not think well when they hear her name. All they think about is her father, who looks so much like her, and the broom closet, Ermakova fears.
With her participation in “Let’s Dance” that should change. Maybe Anna Ermakova can even leave her origins behind and present herself as an independent personality. It would be wished for her.
