Andy Murray is one of the most successful tennis professionals of this millennium. The 35-year-old Scot from Glasgow won three Grand Slam titles (New York 2012, Wimbledon 2013 and 2016), two Olympic gold medals (2012 and 2016) and was number one in the world for 41 weeks. After ongoing health problems, Murray announced the end of his career at the Australian Open in 2019, but postponed it after an operation. At the Boss Open in Stuttgart recently, Murray suffered a slight abdominal muscle injury in the final defeat against the Italian Matteo Berrettini, his start in the upcoming grass classic in Wimbledon is not in jeopardy. In the first round he meets the Australian James Duckworth. Time for a quick conversation about life as a professional with now four children – and how it really is at the end of his career.
