“And Just Like That” now on Vox media

Growing old in style, grasping the seriousness of the situation with wit – there is again a lot to talk about in “And Just Like That”, the sequel to “Sex and the City”. Now it runs on Vox.

It’s the fall of comebacks in the entertainment industry, with Abba and Adele, with Kerkeling, Gottschalk and with the FDP. Because the acute present apparently promises nothing but new hit singles from the same virus over and over again, people tend to look back. At the end of the 1990s, too, when downright obscene egomania, hedonism and a lack of consumerism reigned supreme. Nowhere is this merriment of urban clamshell owners more lovingly documented than in the HBO series Sex and the City (1998) , the NYbelungen saga of the generation Cosmopolitan. The announcement of a sequel, twenty-three years after the first season, fueled hopes that 2021 might at least get a nice footnote.
