An old hotel at the station will rise in height and upscale

We don’t really notice him anymore because he seems to have always been there. Surprised for some, downright shabby for others, the Hôtel de Bourgogne, located a stone’s throw from Nantes train station, will change in the coming years. The Rennes hotel group Vicartem, in partnership with Extendam, announces that it has acquired this two-star establishment, which closed its doors in June 2020. “The excellent location”, in a district that has continued to renew itself since the beginning of the year. delivery of the forecourt and of the new Nantes station, won over investors. The opening of the new hotel is scheduled for 2023.

Develop hotel capacities

In the coming months, “a substantial restructuring program intended to develop the capacities of the hotel and to reposition it in a 3/4 * lifestyle segment”, announce the partners. To expand, the building will be upgraded, “thus allowing the number of keys to be brought to 60”.

The establishment, described as economical and designer, will also offer a range of “light but quality” catering. This will be Vicartem’s second location in Nantes, already behind the 4-star Maisons du Monde hotel, open in spring 2019 on rue Santeuil.
