An illegal rave party stopped by the gendarmes

The mayor of the town of 600 inhabitants, Jean-Pierre Le Bihan, indicated this Saturday morning that “we no longer heard sound”. The gendarmes put an end last night to a brief illegal rave party which brought together around 500 people in Haut-Corlay (Côtes-d’Armor), in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic, we learned from the prefecture.

“The gendarmes intervened around 1 am to seize the material for a rave party. The people had gathered in Saint-Brieuc, and after a game of cat and mouse with the gendarmes had settled in the evening in Haut-Corlay ”, specified the prefecture. According to the authorities, there was no incident. More than 300 breaches of the health protocol against Covid-19, four offenses for possession of narcotics and two offenses of driving under narcotics were noted.

The memory of Lieuron

The prefecture recalls that festive musical gatherings are prohibited in the Côtes-d’Armor until Monday. “Police and gendarmerie (are) mobilized all weekend to ensure the maintenance of public order and compliance with these provisions”, indicates the prefecture on Twitter.

On New Year’s Eve, a giant rave party hit the headlines with around 2,500 participants in Lieuron (Ille-et-Vilaine).
