Quentin Bernier-Gravat recognized it, he should have better “work his files”. Wednesday, during the city council of Vincennes, in Val-de-Marne, this elected ecologist opposed the subsidy of the “yacht club” on the grounds that his party opposes the subsidy of “sports which emit pollutants “. Barely spoken, the sentence caused hilarity in the assembly and quickly went viral on social networks.

And for good reason: despite its name, the boats present in the club are all sailing. “It’s sailing! A boat moves with the wind, ”quipped the city’s UDI mayor, Charlotte Libert-Albanel. And to continue: “We are roughly on the same level of controversy as the aviators”, in reference to the controversy over the drop in subsidies for the two flying clubs of Poitiers by the environmentalist mayor of Poitiers, Léonore Moncond’huy.

Quentin Bernier-Gravat admitted, not without humor, that he was wrong. “EELV has always been for video capture of municipal councils. In the name of transparency. And ok, sometimes we regret. I had worked on my partial, a little less my files, ”tweeted the young elected.
