An elderly man lynched by a gang of young people who squatted in the lobby of his building

While returning home, an elderly man was violently attacked this Sunday evening at around 11:30 p.m. by around fifteen individuals who were squatting in the lobby of his building in the northern districts of Marseille, reports Provence.

According to the Provençal daily, the blows began to rain when the septuagenarian asked the young people present to please leave. Beaten and stabbed in the chest, the victim was taken care of by emergency services without his life being in danger.

Shortly after the events, three people, two minors and one just an adult, were arrested. The police headquarters indicates that the investigation into this “unspeakable attack” is continuing. An attack which also caused the mayor of the city, Benoît Payan (DVG), to react.
