An association requests the indictment of Christian Estrosi

The co-president of the “Promenade des Anges” association asked our colleagues to France Info the indictment of the mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi within the framework of the investigation into the security system put in place during the attack in Nice. To date, the latter is placed under the status of assisted witness.

This request made by Célia Viale comes on the same day as the reclassification of the facts “in homicides and involuntary injuries” in this same investigation, required by the Nice prosecutor.

She explains that the training part of Nice on safety is one of the biggest fights of the association. This component is even more important than the Parisian terrorist component for many victims according to her, and points to “the absence of a security device”.

For Célia Viale, it is Christian Estrosi’s “job” to manage the security of an event, and deplores the fact that the elected official confessed during his testimony which lasted six hours that they were more prepared for a Bataclan-type attack. “It is not with sixty police officers that it would have been possible to do anything” she analyzes, before adding: “The concrete studs, the town hall had them, it did not cost much to put them” concludes the one who lost her mother in the attack.
