an alcoholic man attacks police officers with a ballpoint pen in Morlaix

He wanted to pay for his purchases in a bakery with stamps. But the trader refused and an altercation broke out Monday morning in Morlaix (Finistère), report The Telegram. Drunk, the 37-year-old man returned with a ballpoint pen to threaten the baker, who managed to warn the police. This did not however calm the thirty-something who attacked the three agents with his makeshift weapon, managing to plant his pen in the left calf of one of the police officers.

The injured officer comes out with five days of temporary work stoppage. Another officer was also kicked in the shin. Arrested in the wake, the individual, who had just come out of prison, was placed in police custody and then brought before the prosecution. He was remanded in custody pending his trial scheduled for Friday.
