The guest appearance of the NFL in Munich made you want more. Ex-professional Sebastian Vollmer even thinks it is possible that a complete football infrastructure will be created in Germany.

Former NFL professional Sebastian Vollmer believes that American football in Germany could develop into its own team. The NFL has recognized Germany as an extremely important sales market, the 38-year-old told Stern.

“I can’t even imagine what it will look like in ten or 20 years. Maybe we have our own academy for young talents in Germany, maybe our own NFL schools, maybe even a German team that plays in the NFL,” said Vollmer. Everything seems possible.

Last season there was an NFL game in Munich for the first time. The atmosphere left a lasting impression on superstar Tom Brady, with whom Vollmer had played for a long time. “Tom Brady, who competed with the Buccaneers, came up to me and said: Crazy, absolutely crazy! He’s been in the league for more than 20 years and thought he’d experienced everything there was to experience. And then this “Volmer said.

The ex-professional, who was active in the NFL from 2009 to 2016, was hired by RTL as an expert for the coming season. The group surprisingly secured an extensive rights package last year, outperforming ProSiebenSat.1. The annual talent selection, the so-called draft, will be broadcast live on RTL Nitro on Friday night.
