All-round festivals 2023: Summer has these events to offer

Anyone who likes to rock out at festivals will get their money’s worth again this year. These are the best all-around festivals of summer 2023.

If you like to see a wide variety of music genres at festivals, the numerous all-round festivals are just the thing for you. From Rock am Ring to Hurricane and Southside to Lollapalooza Berlin: In 2023 there will again be something for every taste at these events.

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park: June 2nd to 4th

One of Germany’s best-known double festivals takes place at the beginning of June: Rock am Ring and Rock im Park each attract around 70,000 fans who make the pilgrimage to the Eifel or Nuremberg. As every year, numerous music greats of different genres appear at the Nürburgring or at the Zeppelinfeld. 2023 will include:

Foo Fighters, Limp Bizkit, Apache 207, Kings of Leon, Kontra K, Incubus, KIZ, Giant Rooks, Finch and Juju

Melt Festival: June 8-11, 2023

More than 150 acts of different genres are on stage at this year’s Melt Festival. Electronic, but also indie and hip-hop lovers will be happy here. Every year around 20,000 fans populate Ferropolis, the “City of Iron” near Dessau. On stage from June 8th to 11th will be, among others:

Solomun, Boys Noize, Edwin Rosen, Ekkstacy, Orbit, Channel Tres and Agar Agar

Maifeld Derby: June 16-18

The Maifeld Derby has a varied line-up to offer again this year. Around 5,000 fans are expected in Mannheim for the comparatively small festival. In 2023, among others, these artists will rock:

Phoenix, Interpol, Bat for Lashes, M83, Dillon, Ekkstacy and Loyle Carner

Hurricane and Southside Festival: June 16-18

The sister festivals Hurricane and Southside offer artists for every musical taste: whether indie, rock, pop, electronic or hip-hop, everyone gets their money’s worth here. Around 60,000 fans celebrate in Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck. The two festivals will once again be presenting big names this year, including:

Billy Talent, Kraftklub, Muse, Peter Fox, Muse, Casper, Marteria, The Doctors and Placebo

Deichbrand Festival: July 20-23

The Deichbrand Festival takes place on the North Sea coast near Cuxhaven at the end of July and attracts around 55,000 fans every year. If you don’t just want to swim in the crowd, but also want to swim in the sea, you’ve come to the right place. These artists are among others on the stage:

KIZ, Deichkind, SDP, Marteria, Broilers, Mando Diao, The BossHoss, Jan Delay and Tokio Hotel

Tauber Valley Festival: August 10th to 13th

At the Taubertal Festival with over 50 bands on four stages near the picturesque town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber near Nuremberg, there is not only music for the ears, but also readings and yoga offers. Among other things, these live acts perform for the approximately 15,000 fans:

Peter Fox, Broilers, Marteria, Electric Callboy, Picture Book, The Subways and Province

Highfield Festival: August 18-20

Around 30,000 fans come to the Highfield near Leipzig every year. In 2023, the festival once again has an exciting and varied line-up to offer. Included are among others:

The Doctors, Beatsteaks, Rin, Marteria, Tokio Hotel, Nina Chuba and Giant Rooks

Superbloom: September 2nd and 3rd

The Superbloom took place for the first time in 2022, and a new round will start in 2023. The festival will take place on September 2nd and 3rd, 2023 on the grounds of the Munich Olympic Park and in the Olympic Stadium. The diverse line-up includes these acts:

Peter Fox, Ava Max, Sam Fender, Trettmann, Ellie Goulding, Marteria, Imagine Dragons, Badmómzjay and Martin Garrix

Lollapalooza Berlin: September 9th and 10th

Numerous stars are also rocking the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic Park at the Lollapalooza Berlin this year. It will take place on September 9th and 10th, 2023. In 2015, the US festival of the same name got a European offshoot in Berlin. In addition to the festival stages, there is also a diverse program in special worlds of experience. These acts include:
