The Opening Night Live opens Gamescom 2023. Many new trailers will be shown tonight for two hours. We accompany the show for you live in the ticker.

21:01: Next up is Immortals of Aveum. EA’s fantasy first-person magic shooter. No joke, that’s the best way to describe the game. We have a preview of Immortals of Aveum for you to give you an idea. Release is today.

21:00: Genshin Impact…oh no, not at all. Granblue Fantasy Relink will be shown next. Meaningful speeches are swung, haunting whispers are whispered and everything is accompanied by crashing scenes.

8:57 p.m.: There are updates to Nightingale. On February 22, 2024, the survival MMO will enter Early Access. There isn’t really any gameplay to be seen, but there are a few atmospheric impressions of the game world.

Opening Night Live in the ticker: There is campaign feed from Modern Warfare 3

8:50 p.m.: Instead of a trailer, there is a part of a campaign mission for Call of Duty as usual. You can see the prison of Verdansk, a lot of rain and wet and otherwise a lot of darkness. And just as abruptly as the trailer started, it also ends. Release is November 10, 2023.

8:46 p.m.: After the beating is before the shooting. Modern Warfare 3 continues to be featured. Two devs present the latest features. This time there is an open world zombie mode and a campaign with replay value. There are supposedly multiple paths through each level. Particularly exciting: You can probably use killstreaks in the campaign.

8:42 p.m.: We just got the release for Tekken 8, the bludgeoning is coming on January 26, 2024.

8:40 p.m.: There is on the food board. Katsuhiro Harada, Producer of the Tekken series, is on stage with his translator and explains what is so groundbreaking about Tekken 8. Let’s be honest, after the title hit the big screen, we positioned ourselves on the conference table in the editorial office and started shouting wildly.

8:36 p.m.: Assassin’s Creed continues the trailer fireworks. Protagonist Basim, what drives him. With Mirage, Ubisoft returns to its roots and turns away from the big open worlds. Release is October 5, 2023.

8:34 p.m.: Now it’s Payday 3’s turn. Exciting music, sneaking, shooting, sliding and then shooting a little more. You can pre-order the game now.

8:30 p.m.: It continues with Crimson Desert. Pearl Abyss’ open world action adventure was long gone. Now there’s a whole bunch of gameplay impressions in the trailer. The only important thing about it is: You can pet dogs!

Opening Night Live in the ticker: Zack Snyder shows his new film

8:23 p.m.: And there’s the first celebrity guest. Zack Snyder takes the stage to do promo for Rebel Moon. The film hits Netflix on December 22nd. Snyder praises the audience, which promptly responds with awkward silence. If someone gets the man out of there, that’s unpleasant.

8:20 p.m.: We’re getting a trailer for the Xbox version of Age of Empires 4. You can buy the Anniversary Edition from the Microsoft Store now.

8:18 p.m.: Out of nowhere it gets bloody. Killing Floor 3 is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. There is no release date yet.

8:16 p.m.: It goes to the Asian region. The next trailer belongs to Black Myth Wukong. Release is 2024, but there is no exact date yet.

8:12 p.m.: From big to small. Next up is the trailer for Little Nightmares 3. There’s not much to see, but there’s important information. In the third branch of the series you can also gamble in online co-op. Release is 2024.

8:10 p.m.: There it is, finally gameplay from Starfield. As Todd Howard reports that Starfield is the game everyone at Bethesda wants to play, there’s a bit of playable play from the game running in the background.

8:06 p.m.: And boom, GTA 6 is part of the show. The streaker, who has already stormed the double pass, has also sneaked into the Gamescom Openin Night Live and hassled Geoff Keighley. He stayed cool and waited until the troublemaker was escorted off the stage.

Opening Night Live in the ticker: Starfield is the beginning of the highlights

8:04 p.m.: After atmospheric moments including jingling, there is now an epic trailer with real actors. Here, too, there is no gameplay. Considering that Starfield is supposed to appear in two weeks, that’s surprisingly little.

8:03 p.m.: The show starts right away with a bang. Starfield is introduced with an atmospheric piano solo. In the background there are atmospheric images from the space epic by Bethesda. So far, however, there is no new gameplay.

Update from 08/22/2023, 8:00 p.m.: It’s starting! Geoff Keighley opens Gamescom 2023 with the usual big smile and euphoric voice. A honey cake horse couldn’t grin wider.
