People who are allergic to pollen are not going to have a very pleasant beginning of June. According to
National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), “grass pollen concentrations are currently high and will remain so for the next few weeks with a high to very high risk of allergy throughout France”.
And no corner of the exagon is spared. The RNSA published this Friday a map of France of pollen vigilance and absolutely all the departments are either red or orange. Red corresponding to a “very high” level (the maximum) and orange to a “high” level. On the plan, the South-West, Corsica, the East, or even all of Ile-de-France with the exception of Essonne and Yvelines will be particularly affected by high risks of allergies.
Stormy rain showers welcome
In detail, the RNSA indicates that around the Mediterranean, “the concentrations of pollen of oak, olive and pariet (urticaceae) remain high with an allergy risk of medium level for these species”. Concerning sorrel and plantain pollens, they “continue to grow throughout the country with a low risk of allergy”.
Stormy rain showers will be very popular because they will flatten the pollens on the ground and temporarily reduce the risk of allergies.
