Alfons Schuhbeck was a star chef and gastro entrepreneur. Then his empire went bankrupt. The trial for tax evasion against him will begin later this year.

The trial against Munich star chef Alfons Schuhbeck, 73, on charges of tax evasion begins on October 5. A spokesman for the Munich I Regional Court confirmed on Friday that 18 days of negotiations were initially scheduled until December 22nd. Should the process drag on for a longer period of time, further appointments in January are possible. The spokesman did not give details, such as the amount involved in the procedure, he referred to tax secrecy. previously had the “Sueddeutsche Zeitung” (Paid content) reported on the date of the start of the process.

At the beginning of August, the regional court admitted the indictment. It became known at the end of June 2019 that the prominent chef was being investigated. Business premises were also examined at the time. Schuhbeck then said he wanted to work closely and openly with the authorities.
