“Ridiculous statement”: weapons expert disagrees with Hannah Gutierrez-Reed

The gunsmith from “Rust” explained through her lawyer that she did not know that live ammunition was on the set of the western. A Hollywood gun expert has doubts about this version.
She was responsible for the revolver with which Alec Baldwin accidentally shot camerawoman Halyna Hutchins: Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, only 24 years old, worked as a gunsmith on the set of the western “Rust”.

A statement that Hollywood gun expert Mike Tristano does not want to leave standing. “I think that’s a ridiculous statement,” Tristano told NBC News. “How can you not know what is on set and what has to do with the weapons you are supposed to handle?” He asked in amazement, explaining that it was “like a cook doing the catering and saying, ‘Me don’t know where the food is coming from “.

Alec Baldwin, who accidentally fired the fatal shot, appeared to be defending himself on Twitter recently. He shared articles there explaining that Baldwin did not know the gun was loaded. He got it from assistant director Dave Halls, who said it was cold, so uncharged.
