“Aioli briefs”, “pan-bagnat hat”… Comedian Malik Bentalha makes fun of stylist Jacquemus

After Pascal Praud, Jul and Cédric Grolet, Malik Bentalha today attacks the fashion designer Jacquemus. In a 13-minute parody entitled “Jacques-Mouss, 24 hours with the genius of fashion”, the comedian and actor mocks the French stylist from Provence, renamed Moustapha Jacquemard, alias “Jacques-Mouss” .

This fake documentary called “Konbini Originals” and posted on YouTube on Thursday, full of clichés about the world of fashion, was viewed more than 500,000 times in less than 24 hours. Immersed in his creative workshop, we discover Jacques-Mouss, played by Malik Bentalha, in a pink sweater and sneakers, choosing the pieces for his next fashion show with his team.

“Only the aioli underwear is ready, and there are still traces of shit inside”

“The pan-bagnat hat, where are we? “, “the bouillabaisse jeans, great, they’re finished”, “the fougasse tank top, I can’t find it”, “only the aioli briefs are ready, and there are still traces of shit on them ‘interior’, Jacques-Mouss calls out to his colleagues in all directions. Unusual outfits, directly referencing the French designer, known for his innovative look at fashion and his original fashion shows very often highlighting his origins from the south of France.

In this parody full of little winks and pop culture references, the models are paid with “her mother’s olive oils” and forced to travel by bicycle. And when we talk about the value of the pieces in his collection, Jacques-Mouss gets a little annoyed. “It’s not very Marseille to talk about prices, it’s not pastis, it’s not shuttle, it’s not lavender, […] It’s not my father’s house, my sister’s glory, […] At Jacques-Mouss we don’t talk about money, we do it out of love for fabrics, fashion shows, Provence.”

“Apple, Clementine, Pear, all the fruit salad will be there”

For his fashion show, the designer also explains on camera that he plans to invite many VIPs. “Christophe and the Queen, Pomme, Clémentine, Poire, all the fruit salad will be there,” declares Jacques-Mouss, adding that “the rappers will be at the back, they won’t even be at the parade, we’ll set up an annex for them, they will take photos between rappers, […] and it’s an exchange of good processes, because it allows us to reach an urban audience who will buy because they saw the latest rapper wearing our outfits […] while they are at the RSA, […] It’s a win-win.”

At the end of the mockumentary, the stylist speaks a little more personally. “All I want is for my creations to live for many years to come, after which it doesn’t matter whether it’s through a tchoutchouka t-shirt or a paella bag that can be found in my new boutique on rue Saint-Honoré “, he blurted. Not sure that the real Jacquemus recognizes himself in the character played by Malik Benthala. The stylist, who has not yet reacted to this parody, is currently preparing for his next fashion show which will take place on Monday January 29, in Saint-Paul-de-Vence (Alpes-Maritimes).
