Ain, Isère, Rhône, Savoie and Haute-Savoie on heatwave orange vigilance

The sun will be particularly active this Monday in the Southeast. The heat will persist in this part of France with five departments placed in heat wave orange vigilance. On the other hand, the weather will be stormy from New Aquitaine to the Grand-Est, according to the Météo-France bulletin.

Heat wave vigilance will concern Ain, Isère, Rhône, Savoie and Haute-Savoie. From New Aquitaine to the North-East, from the start of the day, the weather will be very cloudy and heavy. From Aquitaine to Auvergne and Lorraine, often stormy showers will circulate in the morning, which can give good accumulations of rain.

A stormy risk over part of the country

In the afternoon, the risk of thunderstorms will extend from the Massif Central to Centre-Val-de-Loire to the south-east of the Paris region and Champagne-Ardenne. On the other hand, in the South-West a lull will appear temporarily. In the evening, a new resumption of thunderstorms will be organized from Aquitaine and the west of the Pyrenees to the Massif Central and the Grand-Est, with again good rainy periods.

On Brittany and the Cotentin, a disturbance will settle for the day, giving a very cloudy sky and rains. On the plains of Languedoc and Roussillon, there too the sky will be charged, the maritime entries sometimes being accompanied by a few drops.

On the rest of the country, the weather will be drier and brighter, even sunny from PACA to Rhône-Alpes, except for a low risk of thunderstorms on the border Alps. In Occitania, the autan wind will blow from the morning up to 50 to 70 km/h in gusts, the south wind will rise in the Rhône valley to reach 50 to 60 km/h in peaks.
