With a joint appeal, the Bavarian aid organizations called on the population to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. “Vaccinations have proven to be the best possible protection against a severe course of the disease,” said the chairman of the working group on civil protection, Leonhard Stärk. “More than ever it is important to convince the undecided to get vaccinated, to get those who have been vaccinated twice to get a booster dose and to avert a quarantine-related paralysis of public life,” said Stärk, who is also the state manager of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK). Those who do not get vaccinated contribute to “the light at the end of the tunnel getting darker”. In addition to the BRK, the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, the Malteser-Hilfsdienst, the police, the state fire brigade association and the technical relief organization participated in the vaccination call.
