AI pioneer Carsten Kraus: “General artificial intelligence will come in 2035” – Economy

Carsten Kraus is an AI expert and successful serial entrepreneur. Doesn’t someone like that have to go to Silicon Valley? I where! Innovations, he says, don’t just happen in big cities.

Was it the electronics experiment kit? The talent that lay dormant there? Probably both: The craft set that Carsten Kraus received as a gift for his seventh birthday definitely fell on fertile ground. While still at school, he developed a software extension for the Basic programming language of the entry-level computer Commodore 64, affectionately known as the breadbox because of its shape. He taught computer science at school and, with the permission of the director, was even allowed to leave school temporarily to devote himself to his first company. Unfortunately, that didn’t survive – because of the pirates.
