Almost three years after the devastating flood disaster in the Ahr Valley in Rhineland-Palatinate with 135 deaths, the public prosecutor’s office announced the results of its investigation: the former district administrator will no longer be prosecuted.

According to consistent reports, the former district administrator Jürgen Pföhler is being tried “Focus” and the “SWR” continues to be investigated in connection with the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley in 2021. According to “SWR”, senior public prosecutor Mario Mannweiler wants to announce this in a press conference from 1 p.m. and give detailed reasons.

Investigators previously examined whether the two were possibly guilty of negligent homicide and negligent bodily harm.
