Agriculture in the district of Ebersberg: Award for Herrmannsdorf – Ebersberg

The Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten recently received an award for their butcher shop. The editors of the magazine Feinschmecker honor the best butchers in Germany every year and the Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten are again there with their warm meat butcher shop.

The jurors were particularly impressed by the sustainable and regional production method: “Good butchers work together with farms in the neighborhood so that the animals do not suffer from stress due to long transport routes to the slaughterhouse,” reports Feinschmecker magazine about the competition. These short distances have been the motto at the Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten for more than 35 years: From the region for the region and from the field to the plate, everything under one roof.

The warm meat butcher shop in Herrmannsdorf is one of the few butcher shops in Germany that immediately processes the meat that is still warm from the slaughterhouse and can therefore do without many additives. More than 200 different traditional sausage and ham specialties are handcrafted there by a team of 30 butchers and all the ingredients are exclusively organic.
