Aggravated theft, insults and threats at the Ramonville metro station

Everything didn’t go as he had planned. In Toulouse, on Tuesday, around 8:30 p.m., a 27-year-old man violently attacked a woman to steal her phone in the lobby of the Ramonville metro station. She, trying to prevent the theft, received a blow which caused her to fall. A Tisséo employee, witnessing the scene, then set off in pursuit of the culprit and managed to recover the victim’s phone.

The story could have ended there, but the thief, who is also known to the police, turned back to insult the victim and the controller. Two security officers then intervened to control the young man. He struggled vigorously, while verbally attacking Tisséo employees.

More fear (and insults) than harm

He was finally able to be subdued and arrested. The victim, aged 25, suffered a minor ankle injury. She filed a complaint for aggravated theft. Two of the Tisséo agents also filed a complaint for insults and threats.
