Bayern professional Noussair Mazraoui is causing a stir with a pro-Palestine post. The club announces a conversation with the defender and reiterates its stance.

The FC Bayern Munich has announced a conversation with the defender after the furore surrounding a pro-Palestine contribution from Noussair Mazraoui.

“FC Bayern contacted Noussair Mazroui immediately after his Instagram posts on Sunday. The player is currently in Africa with the Morocco national team. After his return, a detailed personal conversation with the club management in Munich is planned,” said the German football record champions from the German Press Agency.

“Regardless of this, everyone, including every employee, every player, knows what values FC Bayern stands for. We already expressed these publicly and unequivocally in a post immediately after the terrorist attack on Israel. We are worried about our friends in Israel and stand by their side. At the same time, we hope for peaceful coexistence for all people in the Middle East,” said the association. It remains to be seen whether there will be any consequences for Mazraoui.

Mazraoui spoke out again after criticism

The 25-year-old had shared a video on social networks wishing the Palestinians a victory in the conflict with Israel. The Moroccan international shared a short clip in which a voice says in the style of a prayer: “God, help our oppressed brothers in Palestine to achieve victory. May God give grace to the dead, may God heal their wounded.”

After the post caused a stir, the footballer spoke out again. A statement made available to the German Press Agency said in English: “The point is that I strive for peace and justice in this world. That means that I will always be against all kinds of terrorism, hatred and violence become.”

Last weekend, Palestinian terrorists carried out a devastating attack on Israeli civilians on behalf of Hamas. So far there have been more than 1,300 deaths in Israel. Shortly after the attack became known, FC Bayern wrote on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that they were worried about their friends in Israel.
