After more than a month of shutdown, metro line B returns to service this Friday

The end of the hassle. Since the shutdown of metro line B following a giant breakdown on November 18, traveling in Rennes has been a nightmare with crowded buses and huge traffic jams. A great mess which will finally end this Friday with the return to service of the line from 5:10 a.m.

“Several repair sites and authorization to resume traffic from the state authorities were necessary to allow the line to reopen,” specifies Keolis, who obtained the final green light for the security file this Thursday. To celebrate this reopening, transport will be free on Saturday and Sunday on the Star network.

A commercial gesture for subscribers

Faced with the discontent of users, Keolis also announces that it will offer a commercial gesture at the start of the year. All monthly and annual subscribers of the Star network will benefit from a 50% reduction in the monthly value of their subscription. The same will apply to subscribers traveling on connecting flights on the BreizhGo TER and Cars networks. The details of the terms of this commercial gesture will be specified in the coming days on the Star website and by e-mail for the subscribers concerned.

Good news never comes alone, the strike movement initiated by certain bus drivers to denounce “work overload” will also end this Friday with the return to service of line B of the metro.
