World stars used to stay in Hamburg’s Levantehaus. After the luxury hotel closes in 2022, everything has to go. Some bargain hunters arrive directly with a large trailer.

The Rolling Stones, Phil Collins or Lady Gaga: the list of celebrities who once stayed at the luxury hotel in Hamburg’s Levantehaus is long. As the Park Hyatt hotel closed in late 2022, all of the furniture and décor in 280 guest rooms and suites, restaurant, wine bar, lounges, lobby, library and office are now for sale through the end of June.

This starts with the clothes hangers, continues with bedside lamps, armchairs, sofas and chairs to box spring beds, safes and ironing boards with irons.

On the first day of sales in the hotel on Thursday, many people came to the hotel lobby and bravely grabbed a number of bargains. Sometimes they traveled with large trailers and carried mattresses and lounge furniture to their vehicles.
