The Federal Office has detailed figures for the period from January to November 2022. With an increase of 60 percent compared to the same period in the previous year, the number of road deaths rose particularly sharply among pedelec drivers. For bicycles without an auxiliary motor, there was an increase of 14 percent.

In addition, 11 percent more pedestrians died, 7 percent more drivers and 2 percent more people on motorcycles.
