Adnan Syed is free. This news should get a lot of people very excited, even if you have to limit it immediately. In this case, free means “under home detention”. This is reported by several US media on Monday. But that, too, is good news for those who believe that what Syed has always insisted is true: that he didn’t kill his ex-girlfriend.
