The 25-year-old was awarded the Boy Gobert Prize in Hamburg as an up-and-coming talent. The jury is enthusiastic about the young woman’s gifts.

Pauline Rénevier was awarded the Boy Gobert Prize for her outstanding acting. The 25-year-old received the 10,000 euro prize for young actors on Hamburg stages on Sunday in Hamburg’s Thalia Theater.

“Pauline Rénevier has shown an impressive presence in her roles at the Thalia Theater, which demonstrates an urgency of inner seriousness as well as an exuberant joy of playing in the art of improvisation,” said the jury, chaired by Burghart Klaußner, in justifying their decision for the 1998 in Rio de Janeiro Janeiro born and in Woman who grew up in Hamburg.

She is surprisingly confident of her means and wins the audience with equal amounts of grace and offensiveness. “Pauline Rénevier has gifts that one can look forward to developing,” said the jury. Rénevier has been part of the Thalia Theater ensemble since 2022/23

The prize, which has been awarded by the Körber Foundation since 1981, commemorates the actor and former director of the Thalia Theater, Boy Gobert (1925-1986). Previous award winners include Ulrich Tukur, Martin Wuttke, Susanne Wolff and Hans Löw.
