Michael Epp has already appeared in front of the camera with real Hollywood greats. But now he comes to the conclusion: “In Hollywood, not everything that glitters is gold.”

Hollywood has called actor Michael Epp (“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”) several times. After several engagements in the USA, he would like to film more often in Germany.

“While I’ve worked with greats like Adrien Brody, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Douglas, my name has yet to establish itself among German audiences. But I’m working on that,” said the 40-year-old in a PR interview for the film “Ein Summer on Malta” today (8:15 p.m.) on ZDF.

“In Hollywood, not everything that glitters is gold. The German market in particular is extremely exciting.” Epp had, among other things, played alongside big stars in the cinema productions “Unlocked” and “Denial”.

What is “A Summer in Malta” about?

“A Summer in Malta” is about Franka (Katharina Nesytowa), who is on the Mediterranean island for work. As the controller of a language school, she wants to track down the headmaster there, John (Michael Epp). But the man is a real challenge.

John sincerely promises improvement, but there is no trace of real change. How good that Till (Eugen Bauder) also exists. The smart craftsman responds sensitively to Franka. Unfortunately, Franka is not the only woman who understands Till so well.
