“Aquaman” star Jason Monoa visited the Sistine Chapel in Rome and captured it in photos. He is very sorry now.
With a video message from a gym, “Aquaman” star Jason Momoa apologized for photos from the Sistine Chapel in Rome.
“If you ever thought I didn’t respect your culture, that wasn’t my intention,” said the 42-year-old, referring to critics of the action in Italy. In the Instagram video the actor shared over the weekend, he’s shirtless and sweaty. At the beginning he still has two dumbbells in his hands and shows his muscles. The video had been viewed over 3.5 million times as of Monday.
The actor, who was reportedly in Italy for the filming of ‘Fast & Furious 10’, previously posted several photos from the world-famous chapel in Vatican City. Several users complained in the comments that photography was banned there, but an exception was made for the star. Momoa said in the clip that other people were very keen to take photos with him. “I was very respectful and asked permission for what I thought was fine.” He paid for this “private moment” and made a donation to the church.
