Many people, especially young people, want to improve some things in democracy, but they concentrate on concepts. This is not what society needs.
It’s difficult to publicly name problems when you actually want to protect the people who are causing the problem. There are many reasons to want to protect minorities in this country. The right-wing extremists here are so well organized that heated discussions always lead to acts of violence: there were Solingen, Rostock and Hoyerswerda. There was the NSU. There is still the loneliness of the survivors as they come to terms with the terror against their children and siblings in Hanau.
