A head-on collision between two cars occurred in the night from Friday to Saturday at around 1.15 a.m. in Frauenneuharting. A 67-year-old BMW driver got into the oncoming lane on Steinkirchner Strasse in the Gersdorf district for reasons unknown until now and crashed into a Ford that was being driven by a 19-year-old. Both men were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. According to the police, a breath alcohol test on the person who caused the accident showed a value of more than 0.3 per mille. The 67-year-old is now facing criminal proceedings for endangering road traffic and negligent bodily harm. The BMW suffered damage of around 10,000 euros and the Ford around 2,000 euros. Steinkirchner Strasse was closed for about two hours, and the Aßling and Frauenneuharting fire brigades were deployed at the scene of the accident.
