A woman victim of violent carjacking in Blagnac

The events were quite surprisingly violent. Thursday, in Blagnac, in Haute-Garonne, around 5 p.m., a 55-year-old woman, driving her stopped car, was attacked by a man ordering her to get out of her car. Refusing the order, the woman was forcibly removed from her vehicle, which still contained her laptop, purse and phone. While trying to recover the said objects, in particular to contact the police, she fell to the ground while the thief began to start the car.

From there, the police were notified, and the Colomiers team found the car with the thief at the wheel, around thirty minutes later. While trying to intercept him, their car found itself superficially damaged by the thief who refused to stop and started driving.

A muscular arrest

Finally, the four police officers finished, not without difficulty, getting the man out of the vehicle. He continued to struggle and slightly injured the police officers who eventually subdued him.

Known to the police, the 39-year-old man was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and did not have a license. He was taken into custody for theft with violence, rebellion, damage to public property, driving without a license and driving under the influence of drugs. To date, police custody has been extended.
