Around 40 harp students will perform together as a large harp orchestra for a concert on Sunday, April 21st, at 5 p.m., in the ballroom of the Freiheitshalle Hof. The harp classes of the Bayreuth Municipal Music School, the Hofer Symphoniker music school, as well as the Municipal Music School and the Bamberg District Music School are involved. Christine Leibbrand-Kügerl, Ruth Munzert, and Susanne Schumm rehearsed the program with their students. Also taking part are two violin students from the music school of the Hof Symphony Orchestra and the dance group “Pas de Chat” from the Young Theater Hof. The focus of the approximately one-hour concert for the whole family is the piece “Blue Planet” by harpist Inge Frimout-Hei. The composer was inspired for this work by photographs of the Belgian astronaut Dirk Frimout. The young musicians aged six to 15 bring the images of landscapes and weather phenomena on the blue planet to musical life. Admission is free!
