A thirty-year-old injured by a gendarme after refusing to comply

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, around two o’clock in the morning, a Landes gendarme used his weapon against a driver who refused to submit to a road check, in Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse, reports South West.

The man in his thirties allegedly tried to flee during a check, before being caught and once again refused to comply. It was at that moment that the gendarme allegedly used his weapon.

The investigation will have to determine the exact context of this shooting. Admitted to Dax hospital during the night, the driver’s condition was deemed compatible with police custody this Sunday. The soldier was not injured but is subject to a systematic procedure in the case of the use of a weapon during service.
