A 49-year-old man suspected of being the perpetrator of the shooting which left two dead at the beginning of the month in Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis) was placed in police custody, the Bobigny prosecutor’s office said on Saturday, confirming a information from BFMTV.
The suspect, whose criminal record includes several convictions for drug trafficking and extortion, must be presented this Saturday at the Bobigny court, to the investigating judge in charge of the investigation with a view to being indicted, added the parquet.
Two thirty-year-olds shot dead
On Sunday May 5, two days after a fatal shooting in the same town, a masked individual shot dead two men shortly after 6 p.m. in an alley in the lower town of Sevran. The two thirty-year-olds presented “for one two impacts, including one at the level of the head, and for the other six impacts distributed over the entire body”, reported the prosecutor of Seine-Saint-Denis Eric Mathais in a communicated the day after the events.

This double homicide occurred less than forty-eight hours after a shooting which had already left one dead and several injured in the town of Beaudottes de Sevran, located nearby.
