A shooting with a weapon of war and a violent attack in the same evening

A man was shot and injured on Saturday evening in a shooting linked to drug trafficking in a district of Grenoble, the city’s prosecutor’s office announced on Sunday. The victim, hit in one foot, is “currently hospitalized” but his life is not in danger, specifies the public prosecutor Eric Vaillant, confirming a information from Dauphiné Libéré.

At least ten bullets were fired from a weapon of war, undoubtedly a Kalashnikov, around 6:30 p.m. in the Alma district, not far from the city center. “This shooting is due to a turf war. The team which holds the deal point had just been ousted and sought to recover it yesterday evening,” adds the prosecution, specifying that the injured man is “unfavorably known to the justice system”.

Also on Saturday evening, a 27-year-old man was beaten in the Villeneuve district, in the south of Grenoble and had to be hospitalized before returning home a little later. His 20-year-old sister was also hit and injured. But the two cases “are not linked”, specifies the prosecutor.
