A gathering “in solidarity with the Palestinian people” organized by LFI elected officials, political and union collectives and planned for Thursday in Paris will not be banned, we learned from the police headquarters (PP).
On Monday, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin spoke about this gathering on BFMTV, announcing that it would not be banned by the prefect of police Laurent Nuñez because, he said, “we have confidence in the organizers”.

The police headquarters explained that Laurent Nuñez had been “requested in advance by the organizers of this static gathering as part of the united call of the national collective for a just and lasting peace between Palestinians and Israelis”.
“Given the content of the call to demonstrate and the declaring organizers, this demonstration will not be prohibited but will be strictly supervised,” added the PP.
Another event under consideration for Saturday
This gathering is planned for Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Place de la République, in Paris.
Concerning another declared demonstration, organized in particular by LFI, EELV and the CGT and due to take place on Saturday in the capital, Laurent Nuñez will receive the organizers “on Thursday” “to examine the feasibility of the route envisaged for this demonstration”, we were informed. specified in the PP.
