A police dog, who was in Trèbes after the attack, retires

Jaguar has it under the hood. This Malinois dog, who served in the Lunel dog investigation group (Hérault), has retired, announce the gendarmerie services, after a busy life: this doggie, who began his career in 2017, was an expert in the research of explosive products. But he also worked hard to secure events, particularly because of “his imposing stature”.

Jaguar was there to support the Tour de France, the Women’s Football World Cup, the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings, and the G7 in Biarritz.

“I had a hell of a career”

But what marked his seven years of service in the gendarmerie was undoubtedly his presence during the operation carried out as part of the Trèbes and Carcassonne attacks, in Aude, in March 2018. “I saw a lot of upset gendarmes”, report the gendarmerie services, who make the doggie speak in the first person, in a Facebook post tracing his career as a military dog.

“It’s true that I’ve had a hell of a career! A very beautiful adventure, and a great story with my master, my partner! » Today, Jaguar was adopted by an “incredibly kind” lady. “I am the happiest dog!” I get used to retirement quite easily! I have a huge garden […] and as former military personnel, [sa nouvelle maîtresse] let me be the pack leader with my roommates! »
