a plastic bag found during a search in the drawer designated by Sandrine Josso

INFO BFMTV. Investigators found a plastic bag at the location designated by the MP accusing Senator Joël Guerriau of having drugged her without her knowledge.

A plastic bag was found during a search precisely in the drawer designated by MP Sandrine Josso, BFMTV learned this Sunday, November 19, from a source close to the matter.

Senator Joël Guerriau is suspected of having drugged MoDem MP Sandrine Josso in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday without his knowledge with a view to sexually assaulting her.

Searches were carried out at the senator’s office and at his home where investigators found ecstasy, according to the prosecution.

The senator indicted

Indicted on Friday evening, the man who has been a senator since 2011 is suspected of having drugged a deputy, accusations denied by his lawyer.

He is also indicted for “use and possession of narcotics”, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office, which had requested an obligation to undergo treatment. The judge did not accept this measure, but placed it under judicial control, including a ban on going to the MP’s home.

Joël Guerriau was suspended on Saturday by his Horizons party and his parliamentary group, which could exclude him permanently.

His lawyer speaks of an “accident”

According to the public prosecutor, Sandrine Josso felt ill after having a drink at the senator’s Parisian home.

Samples from the body of the MP, taken care of by caregivers Tuesday evening at the Assembly, revealed the presence of ecstasy, according to the prosecution.

Joël Guerriau denied the accusations during a confrontation on Friday. His lawyer, Remi-Pierre Drai, assured Saturday that it was an “accident” and that his client thought he had a simple “high” and not ecstasy.
