A man suspected of having wandered into an nursing home with a machete in his hand

A 37-year-old man, suspected of having wandered into a nursing home, in Nîmes (Gard), armed with a machete, was arrested and placed in police custody on Sunday evening, reports Free Midday. It was the staff of this establishment which welcomes elderly people who immediately alerted the police, after noting the presence of this strange thirty-year-old, hooded and wearing an FFP2 mask, who was walking in the corridors.

The man, who was under the influence of alcohol, was arrested by the police. The daily specifies that a chisel was also discovered, hidden in a cat’s litter box. However, the individual did not commit any damage within the establishment.
