We now know a little more about the murder of an old lady on Sunday in the suburbs of Nantes. Indeed, a man was indicted for murder after admitting to having killed a nonagenarian, found stabbed in his residence for seniors in Carquefou, near Nantes, we learned Wednesday from the prosecution.

His pre-trial detention was requested by the prosecution.

He does not explain his gesture

The victim, born in 1929, was found dead Sunday in the room of his retirement home in Carquefou, according to Pierre Sennès, the public prosecutor of Nantes. Lying on her bed, she had received several stab wounds. Two men had been taken into custody on Monday, according to the prosecution.

According to the newspaper West France, these are the grandchildren of the victim. The author of the confession, aged 36, cannot explain his gesture, according to the regional daily.
