A man was indicted for attempted murder and imprisoned at the end of his police custody. He is suspected of having opened fire on a client of a nightclub in Nîmes on Saturday morning.
Arrested in stride by the national police, he was intoxicated and was placed in a drunk tank before being questioned. The victim was hit in the groin. She has since been hospitalized. His vital prognosis, however, is not engaged.
Investigators are trying to understand the motivations for his action. It could be a love quarrel.
