a man fatally injured by gunfire

A man in his twenties was fatally injured by bullets on the evening of Monday, November 13 in a city in the working-class neighborhoods of the north of Marseille, AFP learned from police sources and firefighters, confirming information from Provence. According to the firefighters, who noted the death of the victim on the spot, the events occurred a little before 9:30 p.m. in the city of Bricarde.

According to the daily Provence, the man was near the city’s drug sales outlet when he was shot. If the link of this new homicide with the drug trafficking which is plaguing France’s second city is established, it would be the 49th homicide linked to this trafficking committed in Marseille since the start of the year. And this less than 48 hours after a shooting against the backdrop of drug trafficking which left two dead and three injured, two of them seriously, in a neighboring district to the north of Marseille.

These five people, three men and two women, were targeted by Kalashnikov shots on Saturday evening while they were in a vehicle in the parking lot of a McDonald’s. The two dead are a 22-year-old man, the driver, and the 25-year-old passenger who was alongside him.
