“A Killer Paradox” on Netflix: Batman and Robin in Korean – Media

There’s a lot of death in this series, and that’s a good thing. Lee Tang (played by Choi Woo-shik from “Parasite”) is a young, not particularly cheerful man, supposedly a student, but definitely a convenience store salesman. One night he, well, accidentally becomes a murderer when he pulls a hammer over the head of a drunk attacker in a rainy alley. It later turns out that the victim was a wanted criminal, and his death could therefore be viewed as greater justice. When it becomes clear after Lee’s second murder – this time less accidental – that the victim may have deserved his fate, the remorse disappears. It begins Lee’s transformation from bullying victim to dark avenger, which is the subject of the eight-part South Korean Netflix series A Killer Paradox (Director: Lee Chang-hee) tells.
