After the internal investigation launched by the CHU, here is the official investigation. The Toulouse prosecutor’s office instructed the police from the Departmental Security to shed light on the party which took place on Friday, April 9 in the premises of the medical boarding school, on the site of the Rangueil hospital. In the middle of the third wave of Covid-19 and well after the curfew, the evening would have brought together a hundred people.

As of Friday, when the holding of this unwelcome party was made public, the CHU decided to close for the duration of the weekend this building which houses 40 rooms and 9 studios. He does not rule out doing it every weekend until the end of the health crisis.

Strong epidemic pressure

In addition to these internal consequences and the “strong disciplinary sanctions” envisaged by the hospital management, the organizers and participants must therefore now also be concerned about possible legal consequences.

In Haute-Garonne, the incidence rate of Covid-19 is 227 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and more than 450 people test positive every day. According to the latest bulletin from the regional health agency, 382 patients are hospitalized, including a hundred in intensive care.
