He was immediately suspended from his duties. In Morlaix, in Finistère, a French teacher from the Tristan-Corbière high school was indicted for raping a student and placed under judicial supervision on Wednesday.
According to The Telegram, who revealed the case, the respondent was arrested Monday at his home before being heard by investigators.
The complainant is a 17-year-old former student who filed a complaint with the support of her parents. The Brest prosecutor’s office specifies that the facts would have taken place between January and October 2020, when the teenager was his student in high school.
Prohibition to approach the school
According to The Telegram, the professor would have partially denied the facts of rape and sexual assault on the minor, evoking “consented reports”. Aged 57, the respondent has been practicing since 2013 in this large high school which welcomes around 1,500 students in general, technological and professional courses.
The professor was indicted for rape of a minor by a person in authority, sexual assault on a minor over the age of 15, corruption of a minor and possession of child pornography images by an investigating judge of the Brest court. He is prohibited from approaching the school.
